Raise your hand if you love a massage!!

After months of study, and having my course paused because of Covid 19, I finally graduated as a remedial massage therapist two weeks ago. I am thrilled, as this has been a dream of mine for the last 7 years.

A client asked me the other day what made me want to do this. Its a really simple reason. I love helping people. Seeing people in pain, unable to function and struggling with day to day life upsets me, and I just want to help. Having the skills to diagnose, relieve pain, rehabilitate and improve fitness through remedial massage and personal training is my dream come true.

What this does mean for my clients, is I can, within my scope of practice, diagnose and treat certain conditions and injuries. With the knowledge I now have, I also know my limitations and am very clear when I need to refer to another allied health professional. What this means for my clients is you will always get a safe and professional approach to your health and well being.

Once your condition or injury is diagnosed, you will get an on-going treatment plan, using massage and rehabilitation exercises to ensure your recovery. This could just involve me, or there will be involvement from allied heath and medical professionals, dependent on the condition. The idea is to keep you strong, so as a personal trainer you will get an on-going plan to maintain your recovery and try and ensure, the injury doesn't happen again.

This is why I am so excited, turning my need to want to help people into a reality.
